My Own Personal Jobs Report

For a number of years, on a daily basis, I have received the results of job searches set up using general and vertical job boards and job search engines.  This gives me a general sense of what areas and companies might be interesting or where there is some new activity.  It is one of many ways to perhaps spot some trends early on.  In the last couple of weeks, I am seeing many of these searches yield more postings than I have seen in at least three years.  One explanation is that companies are finally feeling confident enough to hire and/or their ability to squeeze more out of their lean workforces has been exhausted. This is over just a short period and admittedly unscientific, but I am hopeful that we have finally turned the corner.
