Flipboard and its reported funding at a $200 million valuation can be seen in the context of my “post-google search” thesis — there are more opportunities than ever to complement search in helping Internet users find useful or interesting content. The valuation is mindblowing however and it would be interesting to know on what basis someone would be assigning a $200 million value.
